Recently Recognised As A New Species, Sorbus Ulleungensis Is Unique To Ulleung Island, A Volcanic Rock Off The Coast Of Korea, And Like Most Island-Adapted Species It Is Significantly Smaller Than Its Cousins, Reaching A Height Of 4M After 10 Years. Suitable For Both Small Gardens And Pots, Ulleungensis Constitutes A Welcome Competitor To Acers, Complete With Fantastic Flowers And Berries. This Cultivar ‘Olympic Flame’ Is Distinctive For Its Large Foliage That Starts Coppery In The Spring Before Turning Green In Summer And Fiery Red Come Autumn. Recently Awarded The Rhs Award Of Garden Merit, Olympic Flame Is Among The Best Small Rowans That Primrose Recommends.
